Framed Currency

Bet you didn't know the United States printed larger sized United States currency at one time? This collection contains both examples (1923 and 1928 United States Silver Certificates) and both the front and backs can be seen. Look at the similarities in designs.  NO tape, glue or adhesives were used in the mountings, so  these notes will maintain their condition.

From 1961 to 1923, the United States printed larger sized currency for people to spend.  After 1923, the U.S. reduced the size of the paper money to what it is today.

This was done to save on printing costs and allow ease of carrying. Both notes are still legal tender and very similar in design. The larger currency note is a silver certificate from 1923 whereas the smaller currency note is a silver certificate from 1928. Can you imagine the size of this wallet?
