Florence Nightingale Signed Letter
Known as the Lady with the Lamp, Nightingale was a social reformer and the founder of modern nursing, her prominence came into being during the Crimean War when she assisted wounded soldiers. This letter was written and signed in the hand of Nightingale and dated October 18, 1873. The letter is written to Miss Bourne, in full: "Mrs. Wardooper will be much pleased to accept the Scrap-book offered for Alexandra Ward: & begs me to convey this message with her kind regards to you. May God guide you in the fervent prayer of yours." An uncommon yet very desirable letter from a woman who was critical in pioneering modern nursing.
